Last night I had TWO bracelets.  The first was given to me free of charge by a nice lady bouncer who recognized my friends and I as we’re-trying-but-still-struggling youngsters in a failing economy.  Once inside the bar, I pulled out my heavier-than-expected wallet and bought my pals a round, tipping handsomely.
The second bracelet (the red one with the cowboy hat), I had to pay a twelve dollar cover for — after watching the oily, designer-dudded man in front of us get in for free because he was buddies with the bouncer.  What did we do next?  We ordered drinks and skipped out on the bill.

As someone who used to wait tables trying to pay for school, I hate your kind.  Whoever got you the drinks cursed you, your mother and any potential future children of yours. If you can’t afford the bill, DON’T FUCKING GO THERE.  Perhaps the $12 cover being a stretch should have been your first clue.  If you were a struggling youngster in a failing economy, I would think reason would dictate, “Maybe I should stay in tonight,” or, “Maybe I should do something equally fun, yet not as expensive.”  To this day, because I know the struggle of waitstaff, bartenders, food runners and busboys, I’ll always tip 20+%.  Hopefully my 20% will go towards someone feeling better because they’ve had a bad couple of hours that weren’t their fault.
It’s no fucking wonder we’re in the credit crisis to begin with - it’s “oh someone else will take care of it” all the fucking time.  Show some personal responsibility and grow up.  Or at least have the decency to not brag about it.  It’s a shitty thing to do and you know it.
