iMovie HELP!

Hi friends,

I have a Canon HV30 and I am trying to get the high-def files off the cassette. I have it hooked up to iMovie, and it’s downloading fine, but my harddrive is rapidly running out of space. is there anyway I can tell iMovie to import them to my external harddrive? If so, how?

When you go into iMovie, first save your project to your external drive before doing any capture.  Then everything will be saved there.  By default, iMovie uses your internal drive for scratch.  You need to save it first externally and then all is good with the world.
